Organic Certification
All organic producers must be certified by an approved body. We are certified by Organic farmers and Growers (OF&G), who were the first organisation to issue organic certificates, and have a lot of experience in assessing organic production. We are inspected once a year, and must show detailed records of all organic ingredients received and used in our recipes, which ensures that only organic products are ever used to make our bread. The standards required of organic certification are very high, and range from cleaning procedures and staff training to detailed traceability records and stock control.
For more information on organic food production and certification, the websites of OF&G and the Soil Association are helpful.
